Ruins

Decided to check out an abandoned house with a friend today and take some shots. My friend originally saw this house online and we had to check it out! This house is sitting on more than 200 acres of land and has been abandoned for decades now. I couldn't help imagining in my head how this house use to look. Ruminate at the fact that this was once someones home. It's crazy to see how with out maintenance this place once called home can become a ruin. We were able to go in without any major obstacle. At time's we as well can ruin ourselves spiritually. The first verse that came to my mind was Proverbs 25:28 " A person with out self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out."(The message Version). Sometimes our biggest obstacle is ourselves. Having lack of self control in different areas of our lives prevent us from accomplishing what God really has in store for us. Even worst, allow other sin's to enter our lives. Let us be led by the spirit of God within us.

2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and discipline."
